    General

E-Cell-MK7, the system produces 100 tons of water per hour. It was put into operation in May this year. Since its operation, the performance of the EDI system has been quite stable.

Since its establishment in 2006, this chemical group company has been using Suez EDI modules for ultrapure water projects. The models in use range from the initial MK-3, to E-CELL-3X, to the E-Cell-MK7 in recent years. , the cooperation has lasted for fifteen years, and the Suez EDI module has also been satisfactorily recognized by the company.

The overall design of the project

The raw water of this project comes from the Yellow River water. After pretreatment + ultrafiltration + primary reverse osmosis + secondary reverse osmosis + EDI, it provides the company with high-demand ultrapure water of 100 tons/hour. This system shares two sets of EDI, with a total of 16 modules, and uses Suez product E-Cell-MK7. Each EDI system produces 50 tons of water per hour and uses 8 modules. The water production resistance is greater than 17 megaohms and consumes only 0.06 kilowatt-hours of electricity per ton of water. On-site feedback showed that the EDI module operates stably and consumes low water production energy, saving a lot of costs for the company.

SUEZ has been committed to the innovation of EDI technology and the development of new products since it launched the world's first commercial EDI product in 1960. E-Cell-MK7 is the latest generation EDI product launched by SUEZ WTS in 2018. Compared with the previous generation E-Cell-3X product, it inherits the excellent quality of E-Cell and increases the water production flow rate of a single module by 40 %, thereby helping customers further reduce module investment costs, supporting facility investment costs, and reduce floor space.
