    Ozone System Brief

    MAIN COMPONENTS

There are five major components of ozone generation system:

air/oxygen compressor and dryer; cooling block; ozone generation chamber; control system; ozone injection.

    OZONE APPLICATIONS

Ozone has a high oxidation potential and quick reaction time. It can be used for disinfection against a wide range of pathogens: E.coli, salmonella, enteroviruses, rotaviruses, phages, Giardia cysts, Cryptosporidium, algal toxins, staphylococcus, Hepatitis A virus, and many other bacteria, viruses, and molds. Ozone is also capable of reducing BOD and COD concentrations, and oxidizing other toxic compounds. It can be produced from either pure oxygen or compressed air. After a short time ozone depletes back to oxygen leaving no trace residuals or carcinogenic disinfection byproducts in treated water. Ozone can also be used for taste and odor control or bleaching. It is widely applied for harvest disinfection in agriculture and products disinfection in food production.
