    DHP 2.7 Axial Piston Pump (High Pressure Pump For Industrial Reverse Osmosis)

    DHP 2.7 is part of the DHP series of Axial Piston Pumps, specifically designed for the transportation of high-pressure, low-viscosity corrosive fluids. It is widely used in industrial reverse osmosis scenarios such as seawater desalination and industrial desalination, and can efficiently convey media like seawater and industrial saline wastewater.

    This pump operates based on the principle of axial piston pumps. It realizes fluid transportation by the reciprocating movement of plungers parallel to the drive shaft in the plunger bores, which changes the volume of the pump cavity. Compared with traditional piston pumps, it does not require a lubricating oil tank and directly uses the conveyed fluid as the lubricating medium, fundamentally avoiding the problem of lubricating oil leakage and pollution. It is particularly suitable for transportation scenarios with high cleanliness requirements, such as seawater and industrial wastewater. Meanwhile, it has a compact structure — compared with other pump types with the same flow rate and pressure, it is smaller in size and lighter in weight. Additionally, it features high operating efficiency and low energy consumption, which can effectively reduce the long-term operating costs of seawater desalination and industrial desalination systems.

    Pump Flow Curve

    DHP 2.7 belongs to the same series as DHP1.7, 2.1, and 3.0. Under a working pressure of 80 Bar, the flow rate has a strictly proportional relationship with the rotational speed (a characteristic of fixed-displacement pumps).

    The flow rate curve provides a visual indicator of the flow rate at different speeds: the horizontal axis represents speed (700-3450 rpm), and the vertical axis represents flow rate (0-3.5 m³/h). For example, at 1000 rpm, the flow rate of a DHP 2.7 is approximately 0.9 m³/h; at 3000 rpm, the flow rate reaches the rated 2.7 m³/h.

    To calculate the target speed based on actual requirements, use the following formula: Selected motor speed (r/min) = (Required flow rate (m³/h) × Rated speed 3000 (r/min)) / Rated flow rate 2.7 (m³/h). Taking a required flow rate of 2.0 m³/h as an example, the calculated required motor speed is approximately 2222 rpm, making the operation convenient.

    Installation and Operation Instructions

    Key Installation Requirements

    • Interface Identification: The port marked "I" on the pump body is the inlet, and the one marked "O" is the outlet. Strict distinction must be made during installation to avoid reverse connection, which may cause equipment failure;

    • Motor Connection: A 3~5 mm gap must be reserved between the coupling of the pump and the motor, and the pump shaft must not bear axial or radial loads. Page 20 of the manual provides a standard connection diagram for the motor and the high-pressure pump, which can be referred to ensure installation accuracy;

    Operation Precautions Specific to Seawater Desalination/Industrial Desalination Scenarios

    1. Filtration Configuration: Impurity particles contained in seawater and industrial wastewater can wear down the precision components inside the pump. A filter with an absolute accuracy of 10 μm (filtration efficiency ≥99.98%, β10>5000) must be installed before the pump inlet. It is recommended to use a precision depth filter element and avoid using bag filters or spiral wound filter elements with only 90% filtration efficiency;

    2. Pressure Protection: A low-pressure control switch should be installed at the inlet end, with the trigger pressure set to 1 Bar. It will automatically shut down the pump when the inlet pressure is lower than this value to prevent the pump from idling. A high-pressure control switch (set pressure 70 Bar) and a safety valve must be installed between the outlet and the reverse osmosis membrane to prevent damage to pipelines or membrane modules due to system overpressure;

    3. Shutdown Flushing: In high-salinity environments (such as seawater desalination), the pump cavity must be flushed with fresh water after each shutdown to discharge residual concentrated brine and prevent salt crystallization from clogging or corroding components. If the shutdown lasts more than 3 days, flushing with fresh water is required; if it lasts more than 15 days, flushing with fresh water containing a bactericide is necessary. Starting the pump with the rear valve closed is strictly prohibited to avoid safety accidents.

    Power Parameters

    The power of the DHP 2.7 varies with the operating pressure. The following table lists its power requirements at different typical pressures (rated speed 3000 rpm):

    Pump ModelRated Flow (m³/h)Power at 60 BarPower at 70 BarPower at 80 Bar
    DHP 2.72.77.5 kW7.5 kW11 kW

    When selecting a motor, it is necessary to consider the actual working pressure. For example, the working pressure of a seawater desalination system is usually 70~80 Bar, so an 11 kW motor is recommended to ensure power matching and avoid energy waste.

    Dimensional Parameters

    DHP 2.7 has the same dimensions as the DHP1.7~3.0 series in the same product line, with specific specifications as follows:

    High-Pressure Piston Pump Maintenance and Warranty Service (for DHP 2.7)

    Key Points of Daily Maintenance

    • Lubrication Characteristics: This pump uses the conveyed fluid as the lubricating medium, so no additional lubricating oil is required, and daily maintenance related to lubrication is unnecessary;

    • Regular inspection: Under the required operating conditions (10 μm filtration accuracy, normal pressure/speed), it is recommended to conduct a comprehensive inspection every 8,000 hours and replace worn parts (such as seals, plunger sleeves, etc.) to prevent the expansion of faults;

    • Corrosion Protection: Although the pump body is made of 2205 duplex stainless steel with excellent corrosion resistance, it still needs to be thoroughly flushed before long-term shutdown in a high-salinity environment to prevent local corrosion caused by residual salt.

    Warranty Service

    • Basic Warranty: A 1-year free maintenance service is provided from the date of delivery (excluding faults caused by man-made damage or non-compliant operation);

    • Extended Protection: If the equipment operates under specified conditions at all times, it can enjoy an 8000-hour maintenance-free warranty, with a maximum period not exceeding 18 months from the date of delivery;

    • After-Sales Support: The manufacturer provides fault detection, on-site maintenance, factory overhaul, and spare parts supply services. Support can be obtained through the contact information below.
